INSTALLING VIVID 2018 on VirtualBox
- Open downloaded archive "Vivid 2018.1.zip".
- Locate the downloaded installation file, named "Vivid 2018.1.zip".
- Double-click the file to open it.
- Locate and unzip the file "Workshop Garage Technical Repair Software 2019.rar".
- Right click on the file "Workshop Garage Technical Repair Software 2019.rar".
- Select the option "Extract the files...." in the context menu with WinRAR software.
- In the extract window, choose a location where you want to unzip the files.
- Click the “Extract” button to start the unzipping process.
- Important notes:
- Make sure you have installed WinRAR software before proceeding to step 2. WinRAR is required to unpack the installation files.
- The “Stakis technik 2018.1.vbox” file must be kept in a normal folder before starting the installation in VirtualBox.
- Install the VirtualBox application which will launch the partition containing the VIVID 2018 software.
- Follow the installation steps, press NEXT, ACCEPT and YES to all steps. EXCEPT the last one so as not to start VirtualBox directly.
- Uncheck “start ORACLE after installation”, we will launch the partition differently.
- Locate the file "Stakis technik 2018.1.vbox".
- In the previously extracted folder you should find the file "Stakis technik 2018.1.vbox".
- This file is crucial for installing Vivid 2018 software in VirtualBox.
- Double click on it to start the installation in VirtualBox.
- For the first launch, either the partition launches itself, or you will have to click on Start at the top right.
- You are on the partition desktop, you can open VIVID via the Stakis Technik icon
